FEIJOA - Feijoa sellowiana
Feijoas are great plants for a fruiting hedge or shelter. They are tolerant of wind and a variety of soils, though of course they will produce their best fruit in the best conditions. But they will grow well in coastal situations, will tolerate frost once established and require very little care. The fruit is delicious raw, or stewed, or as chutney or jam or wine.
We have 3 varieties:
TAGAN 1 - A vigorous variety with large leaves. Very large fruit produced early in the season. Heavy crops. Good cold tolerance.
TAGAN 2 - A reliable, productive variety producing medium to large fruit with aromatic, sweet flesh and classic feijoa flavour. It grows vigorously with an attractive, well-shaped tree and crops consistently mid-season. Well suited to a range of climates, it performs reliably in both coastal and inland areas. A great choice for home gardens and orchards looking for flavour and dependable yields.
TRIUMPH - Excellent fruit, good cropper. Best with a pollinator. Cutting grown, so it will form a slightly smaller bush, and can be grown in a container or open ground.
