How to Grow
Climate: Best suited to warm, frost-free areas or grown in pots for overwintering in colder regions
Light: Prefers partial shade to filtered sun
Soil: Rich, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter
Water: Keep moist but not waterlogged — loves humidity
Growth: Forms clumping stalks with beautiful foliage and grows up to 1–1.5m tall
Harvest: Rhizomes are typically ready to harvest after 8–10 months
Plant in semi shade in well drained soil after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up. Plant them on a mound and harvest the roots once the tops have died off or in later winter, making sure you leave some in the ground to re-sprout in the the Spring. You can also grow successfully in pots.
