The cold-tolerant hybrid 'Pabachi' is a Pawpaw/Babaco/Toronchi cross. Big juicy fleshy fruit. Slightly effervescent, and fragrant with excellent flavour. and The  plump 20cm fruit are sweet and tasty without any of the rubbery texture of the common mountain pawpaw.
Sun or semi-shade, warm conditions. Grows 2m high and 1m wide.
Claire tells me this cross was done by the Austen brothers at Exotic Nurseries near Kaitaia back in the 1990s.
