A beautiful shrub that grows to 3m, with glossy dark green leaves that change to reddish clour in the colder weather.  They produce a  bright orange or red cherry-sized fruit with a sweet and sometimes slightly sour taste - depending o the time of year.  They look stunning in flower and make a great hedge.  They fruit multiple times throughout the year.  The fruit is high in vitamin C and also a good source of provitamin A.  Grows best in slightly acid soil, full/part sun, and with plenty of water. Mildly frost tolerant when established.
