We have several varieties of ginger available. All will grow outdoors in a frost-free spot, and although they will all spread, they are not rampantly invasive. Chinese Ginger is very similar to the ginger you buy in the shops. It has pungent yellow roots and is fairly easily grown outdoors, in a semi shaded position. Non invasive. A great plant for the vege garden. Mildly frost tolerant.
